Hey CC I have no idea how long the clutch in this thing has been worn I bought it last october, drove it home, put it in the garage and tore into it, today was the first time it's made it out of the driveway since then. But I see where you're going if the clutch has had issues for awhile and not been fully releasing in theory the prev owner would have literally been forcing it into gear. Oh well I guess I'll just drive it like this, as I said it only does it going into first gear and I can even avoid that if I push in the clutch and wait a sec before stuffing it in first, ahhhhh just one more fine point about driving this car (oh wait I mean owning, since I really haven't even gotten to drive it yet).
Hey sinepgib from what I've read AND experienced with bleeding these things, congratulations it sounds like you're one of the lucky few. As far as the line being an issue I'm pretty sure that isn't the problem (there would be other issues the just the initial shift into first gear).
If it really was a hydraulic problem it should do it shifting into any gear, not just first. Line is good (in fact it seems like it's only one of about 12 things total on the car that hasn't needed replacing) been messing with the hydraulics on this POS for quite awhile and quite a few times
I wonder if there are even internal parts available for the ZF6 anymore?
Anyone know? Would ZFdoc have any input?
Thanks LT4CompYell
Guess that means I can finally put this thread to rest.
And thanks to everyone that helped me out with advice/suggestions on my MC/slave issues.
