That looks nice. Can I assume that A/C was sacrificed?

No more A/C, probably go with the e-A/C I have seen posted here before later.

The item at the rear of the manifold is a cam sensor out of a 2001 7.4 chevy truck (have part # from gm if any one wants it). That coupled with a crank sensor controled by a big stuff 3 ECU provides a sequntial injection and the ability to run coil on plug. The opti unit is completely gone as is the factory ecu.

I'll put the specs of the whole car up later. it basically has eveything you could do to a car I guess. some of the stuff is already planed to get changed like trans and gearing.

Edit: P.S. Please feel free to critique the car. this is my first turbo build and I have gone off of internet research and "asking" around what will work.

Looks great!! Please drop the part number for the cam sensor...it looks like it might be a better mouse trap than what I'm currently using!!

Will do in the morning. I have a whole book on this car and it's components.

What are you using currently? I.E. what is your setup?

I'm running 12-rib conversion with a modified optispark cap, LTCC coil on cylinder, and a DFI gen VII in bank-to-bank mode. Would like to convert to a crank trigger and full sequential...guess I've got some hoework to do!

Seems AZ, Oreilly, Advance dont have listings for the fiero pump but advance shows the MR2 pump as available.

Thanks!

The power steering is dropped to the bottom drivers side and switched the pump out to a standard rotation pump. Had to make new brackets for both it and the alternator which is now on the pass. bottom side of the motor. It's a weird drive system but seems to be working just fine.

Cam Sensor Part # is 1104068

runs about 250.00

not real sure on the actual name of this type of sensor. It is basically a 180 on off switch. I tried using one of msd cam sync sensor and it wouldn't run.

can't find the link right now. Maybe someone else can help. I'll check more tomorrow.

It was basically an ac compressor that worked off of 12v rather than a belt. Probably not the most efficeint but if we want ac atleast it's an option.

It's the compressor (and it's controller box) from a toyoda prius. www.sanden.com
No one has given it a try yet, but Im sure it can be made to work for us. If not, one can always get a DC motor from Baldor an direct drive their stocker. A route I may have to take, as it seems noone wrecks those darn cars.

Do you have to punch a hole in the intake for the cam sensor? I'm assuming you do but would like to hear more about that.

Was there any thought given to try to pick up a cam signal from where the opti mounted?

Also, by eliminating the factory PCM, were you able to keep the factory speedo and any of the dash gauges, and how?
