with CA gas prices skyrocketing, are you running lower octane fuel which will give put your knock sensor to the test?

I would say you need to check the wiring, and worst case, replace the knock sensors.

Don't get the cheapie Bosch from AutoZone. Use only Denso or AC/Delco/Delphi or you might be sorry.

And
don't throw money at parts. Make
sure you have a defective 02 sensor and don't assume one or both of them (your LT1 has two) have gone ****-up. This is where an 02 sensor test tool or a scan tool comes in handy and pays for itself.

I am only getting the SES light only when I start her up. After two or three minutes of driving the SES light disappears. Drives fine.

Inspect the connectors then. Sometimes they get fouled with oil and grime this will cause them to throw a code. That was the case on my Vette.

On the other hand, my 92 was throwing Code 43's and lighting the SES light intermittently upon startup. A replacement of the knock sensors permanently fixed the problem.
