Default Rings for forced induction

Is anyone running zero gap rings and not having a problem with them? It seems like I have heard some horror stories about them with FI. I have them for my new engine combo, but there have been so many clearance issues with ALL my new parts, that I am not ready to chance it with my rings. (they were to tight for the ring lands) What is everyone using that is proven? How bad is your blowbye?

I used total seal rings in one FI application...I would NOT call it a positive experience. Currently, I use speedpro, plasma moly, file fits...so far, so good!

I think TonyDee has had a real bad experiance with them. Do a search on it, I think he started a thread about it.
Id skip them myself, go with a set of tool steel or hellfire rings, Hone with torque plate and run a vacuum pump. Case pressure is the sad truth of Boost junkies (It's like how crackheads' teeth fall out) the only tried and true method of solving it is to use vacuum in the case. It can prevent blowby from getting from there in the first place, but at the very least it can evacuate it during the boost event.

Yep, smoke city... file fit rings are the only way to go.

The rings wouldn't seat and it started using excessive amounts of oil (blue smoke out the tail pipe). Upon taking the engine apart and inspecting it (~5K miles on it) I found the coating on the rings started flaking off (too much heat?). I changed up the rings to speedpro and haven't had a problem since.
