2400-2600 stall preferably, and prices range considerably
Hows the "around" town drivability??? The wife will be driving it to once in awhile. Don't need to be upsetting mama.

driveability should be just fine with a stall below 2800, above that, in my opinion, the transmission wont feel quite right

it'll feel like its slipping (which it is actually), and its unnerving

I can't believe noboday else has brought this up yet. There is a reason the six speed cars all had a dana 44 from the factory. It's stronger and can take the abuse of the six speed trans better. If you put gears and a convertor in your car with that dana 36 you will break the rear end if you ever get traction. You might as well put some skinnies on the back and drive it around because with street tires and 3.54's and a convertor the car is going to do nothing but fry tires from a dig. Put street slicks on it and it's not if the dana 36 will break, it's when.

I only go to the track once in a blue moon. Might not make it this year.. Would just like more get up and go. I like the idea about the converter (won't kill the mpg) and maybe some 1.7 rr's.

Yep, 700R4. Should be getting the mods done pretty soon. I'll keep you posted.
