Ok,

I am trying to run down an intermitant issue with my 92. I have previously posted about the service asr light and a no start condition. All indications lead to the ecm, however since it is intermitant I dont want to just throw money at the problem. On the DIC ( idot light) panel there are 2 the low oil level and service asr that sometimes stay on. Can anyone tell me if these are switched by the ECM ot the CCM?

Thanks
Ron

the low oil level is tripped by the switch on the oil pan.

the ASR/ABS service lights would be tripped by the EBCM.

To answer your question, no... they are independant messages.

Are you getting any codes from the ECM or CCM?

Hey Bogus,

I get a com error between the ccm and ecm nothing else. If the inputs from the oil level switch and came into the ecm it would make sense. However if the input is direct to the light and not switched through the ecm I have more work to do.
