Ford Injectors, clip in upper/lower ring?

Ford Injectors, clip in upper/lower ring?

Dropping in the Ford 24lb blue tops in my '94.

I noticed 2 rings on the Ford injectors for the clips.

The ring towards the top of the injector has a 360 degreee ring.

The bottom one isn't quite all the way around, but puts the injector where my GM injector was in relation to the fuel rail.

I remember reading about using a fine blade hacksaw to continue the second ring and clip it in.....Corvette Fever I think.

Any thoughts or advice?

I've always read use the top groove. I just installed pink tops on my 86 and it worked fine for me.

Thanks for the info. I have read both them installed both ways and was wondering how most peopel do it.
