hi,i have 96k on the shocks.i can feel a difference when i change the adj. suspension settings.i am guessing they are worse for the wear at this point.so...should i revalve the stock ones(how much?,who do i contact?,and typical turnaround?)or do i replace them with ??? this is a street car(daily driver) but i do drive aggressively and hit the dragstrip a couple of times a year.if i disarm the electric suspension will it affect the computer or any other functions?sorry for all the questions but i have no experience with this one.

While the link provided by dd doesn't list the price to rebuild your FE3 shocks, typically it is not cost-effective to rebuild Bilsteins.
For instance, cost to rebuild the standard C4 unit is $65. You can find them new, in many retailer catalogs, for $75.
You might want to call the Poway shop directly and get the official word. They are good guys to talk to.

They have a free shipping deal right now. By the time you pay shipping both ways you can have new.
Ecklers has a buy 4 special for $280.

The '96 adjustable suspension are different than the earlier C4's and are not Bilsteins. I don't believe that you can rebuild them.
If you want a track shock Bilstien can rebuild yours to stiffer specs. I think the cost is now around $100.00 ea. 1-800-537-1085 talk to Jack French, only if you want a very stiff ride.
if my fe3 shocks are not rebuildable what would be a good replacement other than new ones.if they arent bilsteins what are they?
if i disarm the elec susp with say koni adjustables do i have to do anything with the wires or computer for everything to function properly?the car doesent ride terrible but i don't have anything to compare it to.

Bilstien does not manufacture the F-45 RTD adjustible shocks that first became an option in the 1996 model year. So there is no point in contacting them about a rebuild.

They are produced by Delco.

If you drive aggressively the HD Bilsteins should be good. I have them on my 1989 Z51 and like them. As I said earlier $280 for 4 at Ecklers. If you want to keep your FX3 functionality I guess factory.

I'm very pleased with the Koni Sports...you might consider them. If you want something that works just as good as the Koni and looks light years better, consider QA-1's.
Just unplug the harness going to the old, adjustable shocks...or ty-wrap them out of the way. It will not affect the function of the car in any way.
