Default operating temperature

What is an acceptible or good temp range for my '87? I haven't found this info anywhere so far.

The fan should cut on at 228*. My 86 runs at 180 on the highway and increases in traffic and at idle. I wouldn't let it get too far above 230-235* to be safe.

Thanks. I just got it a few days ago and it had been running around 200. While driving it home last Sunday in 100+ degree heat, it climbed up to around 219 on the highway with AC on. Turning the AC off bumped it down to around 210.
