Default Blower Motor Resistor

I just got my new Blower Motor Resistor for my 86 coupe because my A/C only blows on high.

The problem is, I can't find where it goes. I thought it was under the dash on the passenger side. I took off the plastic plate under the dash on the pass side, but I don't see anything that looks like it. Tons of wires (which it may be far behind?), but I don't see the resistor.

Can someone please tell me where it is.

Thank you

Try looking in the engine compartment on the firewall right under the blower housing.

I just looked under the blower housing and the only thing I see is the Window washer fluid container.

Has anyone changed one of these?

It's mounted by a couple of small bolts on the top of the evaporator housing towards the engine side. Unplug the electrical connector, remove the bolts and pull it out.

here are a few picts. 1 shows what the blower module looks like and the other(s) shows where it goes. (disregard the mirror in the pict as it was used to illustrate another item!)

***sorry about the oversize but, i forgothow to make the picts smaller!
