Default Climate control is fixed
You guys and this forum are the best! I was having trouble with the automatic climate control in my 96. I could not lower the temp or select off, auto, or bilevel. Turned out to be the plug in the back of the control unit needed a wiggle. Before I even posted my problem I did a search and found several threads on the subject.

Just want to say thanks for the help.

Repaired mine also, took it apart, cleaned all the connections and it works great...thanks to all

Not really. You have to unbolt the center console and raise it up so you can remove the dash panel so you can remove the AC controller. Takes about an hour.

Good to know -
I've removed the C5 console enough times that I can do it in my sleep.
Never done much to our C4.
