Those ratings verify exactly what I thought otherwise................the GS-D3 is superior in the wet and the F1 Supercar is superior in the dry.

I get the same 1.8 60ft on either tire, in fact, I've gotten 1.8 60ft on every tire I've ever owned....no matter how bald they were. 60ft testing isn't always the best test for tire traction though. How it performs around turns and when raining around turns etc is just as important.

It's a good thing they aren't the tire the supercar is, I would have already wrecked as I almost did when I had them.

Tirerack has the GS-D3 for sale, I've seen no proof they've been discontinued. In fact, they are still listed on the goodyear website. Even their site shows the GS-D3 is a better tire if you average the ratings: http://www.goodyeartires.com/goodyea...=40&image.y=15

As for price, they are waaaaay cheaper than the ps2's I got.

Goodyear discontinued the F1 Supercar tires for the C4, not the GS-D3's that every Tom,Dick, and Harry have.

Yup. I dont know about you, but when its raining outside I dont look forward to taking the vette out and playing. Not a safe thing to do.

My old Kumho 712's were good in the rain, but they sucked when it was dry. Wildcat mentioned that the GS-D3's are a better tire then the SC tires. I doubt it bud!

My bad, thought we were talking about the tires in the title being discontinued. Can honestly say it doesn't hurt my feelings they were cancelled. Good riddance. Proof positive testing in my car. There's a reason the supercrap tires aren't rated as the best tire and the gs-d3 is.

Well......you need to be able to drive to exploit the exceptional grip that the supercar tires have to offer. I've pulled 1.7 60 fts with mine. Only a drag radial or slick will do better. Speed rated to 200 mph, corner great and have average wet traction. What more could you ask for? I know - it wouild be nice if they weren't discontinued!
