After so many good testimonials, I ordered a Dynaspark today. A bit expensive but according to many here in the CF it is a good piece of gear.
Today my new alternator arrived, so I think I'm going to take the entire front block face off, clean it up, flush the radiator and do some cosmetics to the VETTE.
Concerning the Dynaspark, Is it anything that I need to know before installation? If it is, inform me by replying or via e-mail.
Just follow the instructions and resomendations of the manufacturer.
Dynaspark is really a great piece of equipment.
I powerwashed my engine bay today ( carefully ) without any fear.
I think a Dynaspark is a great investment and gives a great peace of mind.
Presuming the car is a '95, you already have vacuum hookups for the active venting. The Dyna should be a bolt-in swap for the old unit.
The only thing you'll need to do, if they haven't changed this since I bought my Dyna two years ago, is to transfer the weatherpack connector backshell from your old Opti wiring harness to the Dyna's harness. They did provide a contact extraction tool for this, and it's no big deal.
Follow the instructions they provide, and you should be fine. If you'd like a list of generic Opti swap tech tips, let me know and I'll post 'em again.
