Default How do I remove my injectors?

I need to remove and replace the o-rings on my injectors. Is there an easy way to pull them out without removing the intake runners? TIA guys

NO
Pull the plenum off and then you be able to dismantle the fuel rail and pull the injectors. When i did mine i pulled the runners also but i think you will be able to remove the crossover tubes and then pull one rail at a time, with the injectors still attached to the rail.

I had to loosen the runners and tip them back for the rail to lift high enough for the injectors to come up out of the intake.

4 8mm bolts get the fuel rails off. you might have to pry a little to get the O-rings to let loose from the manifold. i used 2 screw drivers to get the retaining clips to slide away from the injector. then just pull them out. should be able to get old injectors out, and news one in in about an hour.

Not,I went ahead and removed Plenum and runner tubes, removed rails, clips, injectors. Then I replaced injectors with new ford 24# blue top injectors, new o rings, and put it back without clips.Make sure you lubricate the rings so they won't hang ,cut.Oil worked fine, just a drop on each o ring.Leaving the clips off makes it much easyer to change the next time .all you have to is remove plenum, loosen driver side runners, pry rails up an replace o rings, injectors ,whatever.
