Increase in steering effort..????
I was driving about 40 and heading toward a 90 degree left curve...
I almost ran off the road due to the effort it took getting the steering wheel turned!!!!
At first I thought it was just me...have not driven the car in 2.5 weeks, but noticed this happened several times going to and from work. Normal steering is seems to be the same light touch...but try to take a corner fast...and look-out....steering effort goes way up.
I am also hearing the clicking noise from the steering column...so whatever that kit is from GM that is supposed to fix this...looks like I will be getting that. I have found that both outer tie rod end boots are torn...but only on the driver's side.
All I have done recently is replace the front pads...
Power steering fluid is full...
Is it just me or has something happened to my car?
What should I check?
Thanks,
