Does anyone know how to change the 3rd brake light on an 1988 corvette. IS it bulbs or do you have to remove the whole assembly. if so how do you do it????

If this it the light on top of the rear hatch. You have to let the rear hatch up and remove the bolts. The cover comes off and the rest is common sense.

Thats if its on the back windshield: If its on the body style, between the top and the glass, you have to remove the interior halo to get to the bolts, then is easy from there.

If it is like the CHMSL on the coupes then it is probably going to be 4 or 5 small bulbs inside the housing. I'd remove the license plate and look up.

I've got the same problem on my '88 'vert. I've been told same thing - up thru the license plate opening.

Dang it, the scars finally healed from changing out the turn signals and here we go again.

Note to self - buy more band aides
