Default Code 32 EGR Question

Someone that I know has a 90 and just got code 32. He is getting his engine rebuilt in about a month. Is it safe to drive the car with an egr problem until it gets rebuilt? Thanks

I had code 32 on my 1990 L98, changed the EGR and code never came back. My diaphragm in my EGR sounded like potato chips crunching as I moved it back and forth. There is some great info here on changing the EGR valve.

I dont see any harm in running it like that, but I doubt it will pass an emissions test like that.

we don't have emmission testing here so it won't be a problem. I didn't think it would harm the car, but its always safe to ask! Thanks everyone
