Default 88 Vette Code 36

Hello everyone I am new to the forum but have gotten alot of useful info from all your threads. I have a 1988 vette with slightly modified L98. K&N filter with lid cut out, no frisbee, 52mm throttle body with coolant bypassed, ported plenum with SLP large tube runners and 24 Lb injectors and a flow master exhaust. My service light went on the other day and the code I pulled was 36. I have read two possibilities. First is the MAF burn-off relay or second the ignition system electrical error. The engine still starts right up and runs very smooth with no power loss. If the MAF is not functioning, wouldn't the car have trouble starting or running terrible. I think there might be a problem with the alternator since the car has 175,000 miles on it and as far as I know it is the original. I have had my baby for 11 years so it is possible. Let me know what you guys think and what other experiences you may have had with code 36. Thanks for any and all of your Help

Likely it is the burnoff relay, behind the battery on the firewall, you will then want to replace BOTH relays.
