Cam for an 86
I'm interested in doing some mods for next year and was thinking about putting a cam in. I don't know much about this though, and not sure whch ones to start looking at. Any ideas from you guys with 86's out there running cams? I'm looking for generally more throw you in the seat punch and top end power.
Also how hard is it to put one of these in yourself? What does the job entail?

You'll have to decide several things before you pick a cam.
An 86E will need the heads changed, an 86L may need them ported depending on power goals. You will need to change out the TPI intake if you want top-end power.

Thanks for the input vader, I checked out your site just after I posted this and I couldn't put my computer down last night. You got some really good stuff on there and It will definetly be a good guide for me. What TPI intakes work well with this motor?

Well it depends on your specific goals; SuperRam, MiniRam/modified LT1 intake, modified Holley Stealthram, modified TPI are all options that provide varying characteristics.
