Sounds like a wiring problem. This won't really help, but I had door locks stop recently - they are on the same circuit as the power seat controls in the center console. Do those work with the doors closed?
The power seats do work with the doors closed, but, every once in a while they stop for a day. I also notice the door ajar message does not go on when the passenger door is opened. It does work on the drivers door.
Could this be a ground issue?
Sounds like a loose connection somewhere doesn't it? I'd swap the circuit breakers just to see if that could be related, but then I'd probably get an electrical guy to help.
I have a shop manual and found nothing useful relating to the wiring. Another forum member pointed me to the wiring under the seat - possibly being stripped and rubbing the seat rails as a short. That can't be what you have but it's where some of that wiring is. Good luck.
Thanks for the insight. Yesterday it rained and the power seats stopped working. I suspect the wet weather has something to do with the seats not working. I took the passenger side door panel off and found some corrosion in a harness. I need to investigate to see if the door lock problem is connected to this also. When I have time I will go through the wire diagrams and see if I can figure it out.
