Would putting roller rockers on an otherwise stock LT1 valve train have any power increase or do really have to do a cam to get any benefit? Also does going 1.6 ratio have any more benefit?
1.6 roller rockers and LT4 valve springs were one of my first mods. I didn't dyno before and after. But, the car did rev alot smoother, especially above 5000 rpms.

Why would you have to put in lt1 springs? I've heard that the cams are about the same. Are they a higher rate? Why not just use comp. or crane aftermarket springs if you want more rate?

LT1 spring are good to about .490 lift, which is where you will be with the 1.6 RR's. The LT4 springs are good to .525, and probably about 1/3 the price of aftermarket springs.
