I finally figured out why I was shorting out the in-tank pumps today. The stock gas tank has a heavy guage inner plastic liner, well really another gas tank, inside the metal skin. Water had filled up between the 2 tanks and was sloshing in through the opening where the sending unit goes. When I cut the tank up to throw it out, 2 gallons of water had to have come out.
Hopefully the rain will stay away this weekend. I want to spray this thing for a full pass, and hopefully get the 250 jets in.
