Or make something similar yourself. I just put diaelectic grease on the weatherstripping of mine and it is good. Also I have noticed that sometimes when I reinstall the top, there is noise, if I loosen the top and readjust it, the noise goes away.

I did the "kit" first and it did work - for a very short time. I do not recomend it for a long term (more than a few days) repair. As stated, do it right the first time and forget it.There is a tech tip on this very topic. It's similar to the one I used and it works.

This is a great tech tip. I had horrible squeaks and now have none. No exageration....none.

Don't waste your money on $13. worth of velcro. Been there, done that. Use the tech tip above or the one in the Shop manual. Haynes manual also explains how to adjust the top. Then come do mine!
