Default Loose side window glass!

My '95 has just over 80k miles on it, and has never been in an accident since I bought it 3 years ago with 43k on the odo.

Recently, the window wouldn't line up properly with the door shut. It would hiss terribly with wind noise, and I would need to roll it down an inch just for passengers to get in and out. Plus, with the window all of the way up, I could grab it by the edges and rock it back and forth in the door. Something was definitely loose and making it go all out of whack. It still goes up and down perfectly well, but just has a lot of slop laterally.

Yesterday, I took off the door panel to do an inspection...tough to find what was wrong. However, I did find what looked like some sort of guide in the front of the window glass that broke off. Pics are attached below:

It looks like whatever used to be bolted there rode up and down the rod just in front and to the left of it. Pieces of black plastic are visible inside the door at the bottom when I looked down. ANY CLUE AS TO WHAT THIS IS FOR SURE, AND WHERE TO GET A REPLACEMENT??? I need to fix it as soon as possible.

Thanks for the help in advance!

Im not 100% sure from the pics, but is the part that broke off,was there or is there another somewhere else too for comparison,a wheel that rides up and down inside the regulator tracks? Is that what broke off and made the glass wobble like crazy?

If thats what it is,a good body supply shop or possibly a glass shop should have replacements.Im not sure from the photo so cant tell.Im sure someone else will chime in soon.

I replaced mine a few months back. I got the replacement piece at a steelership. I used a pair of channel locks to unscrew the piece from the window. The new piece should straddle the guide rod.

I see it now,its a plastic door glass guide! I was not sure if it used a rolling wheel or not, like other GM window/glass regulators use.

Do a search on the forum for user *Jet-Jock* and *window regulator*. You should find some good info and pics of what your problem may be.
