It could be so many things
You need a service manual to trouble shoot this
Does the fuel pressure hold steady after it shuts down?
The fuel pump comes on to start the car then if it doesnt see oil pressure it shuts it down
Still could be the problem
Can you pull codes?
I had the same problem with a different car, check the fuel pump. Mine would come on when the key was turned on for 2 secs and then would cutoff till the key was turned off then on, also check the fuel pump relay and wiring.
Time to hook up the fuel pressure guage. But there are other things that could cause it...and like CFI-EFI said, with stock wiring the oil pressure switch will not shut it down. It's only a backup for the fuel pump if the FP relay fails. You should be able to check for constant spark even without the engine running. Those are the 2 areas I'd check first.

The ECM is programmed to energize the fuel pump, via the fuel pump relay, for the first 2 seconds of "key On". If the fuel pump runs for the first 2 seconds after the key is on, it proves that the fuel pump, the fuel pump fuse, and the fuel pump relay, all work.
Air, Fuel, spark and compression, all at the right time and all in the proper amount. What's missing?
With all stock wiring, that is NOT true.
RACE ON!!!
CFI-EFI is right! When the key is turned on, the fuel pump is turned on briefly. If the car is not started right away, it shuts down. The oil pressure switch is a backup to the fuel pump relay.

And once the engine starts to rotate, the ECM, again, closes the relay to run the fuel pump. As long as the engine is turning, whether running or cranking, the ECM energizes the fuel pump relay.
I have put a 1995 corvette lt1 motor in my 1939 Ford.
Problem is it will not run for more than 5 secs.
Anyone have an idea what`s wrong??
Are you using the PCM that is matched to the engine? If you are then did you also install the CCM? Maybe it's FEDS (Fuel Enable Data Stream). If the CCM does not "authorize" the PCM to start the engine then the engine will only run for a few seconds and shutdown. If it starts at all.
We need a LOT more info that 'It Runs For 5 Seconds and Shuts Down'.
What have you got?
What's your 'TIQ' (Troubleshooting IQ)?
Did you wire it up?
Stock wiring harness?
Stock ECM?
Reprogrammed ECM?
What fuel pump?
What have you checked?
What's been proven already to be good?
Whe it runs for 5 seconds is it running ok?
There's really not enough data to do anything other than guess by gosh.
