I use it and recommend it myself... Couple it with a BMAD and a modified radiator shroud and you've got a killer setup, both looks and performance-wise. I'm working on a modified duct to fit the Claw to early L98s in my spare time as a matter of fact, that's how much I like the Claw.
Vette Enthusiast mag put it on the dyno and got 6 hp. It gets air from the bottom of the radiator shroud and stays very cool. Some cut slots under each filter for fresh air.
Roughly the same filter volume but the shape is not restrictive. The ones crying snake oil haven't tried it. The sotp is not dramatic, but one more thing in the bigger picture. That's like saying, "don't buy those wheels, it doesn't do anything." The Claw looks great, souinds great and adds power. How many used ones has anybody seen? Kind of along the same lines as a Corsa cat back exhaust. Not necessary but satisfying to own and experience.

If you plan on spending money on an intake atleast spend it on this one http://www.breathlessperformance.com...cts/219-92.asp
Back to back testing at the track of the Breathless Performance Intake and SLP one showed the car would go 2 tenths faster with the BPP or 2 tenths slower with the SLP.
I sold the SLP that came on my car and replaced it with the BPP.
Not everyone wants to cut their radiator shroud up or tolerate the horrible quality of the vortex rammer. Your claim of slower ets with the slp intake is absurd.
