Default 1991 Interior Lights

Hey guys, that I would post a quick question because I had to go to work, and didn't have time to go through my FSM yet.

I was replaced the weather-striping on my doors, and when I was replacing the door panel on the drivers side, I had a little issue. I didn't disconnecting the battery, because I had backed the car out of the garage, so everything was still live. At any rate, when replacing the light assembly that is above the door release, I had a fine blade screw driver, and touched the light terminals. I heard something pop, and now none of the rest of the interior lights that come on when you open the door, work.

Also, I notice the digital readout on the electronic HVAC control is blank. Is this a common fuse, I looked quickly at the fuse panel on the passenger side, but I was only looking at the abreviations.

Anyone experience this before, just thought I would ask before I start tearing into things? THANKS!!

I have a '91 also and it sounds from your explanation that it's fuse position 1 (top left side) of passenger side panel. It's a 15 amp fuse. If your glove box and map lights are also out it's the one.

Suggest if you are keeping the car get a service manual or at the very least an owner manual.

Start with the courtsey light fuse. Marked CSTY in the fuse panel.

You guys are KING, thanks, I will get it in the morning, when I get out of work.

Oh yes, I do have all the manuals, both FSM, and owners, it's just I was running out the door for work, and didn't grab them, which is why I posted. I'm working 6 P.M.- 6:00 A.M.

Quick follow up, I replaced the fuse, and everything works fine. Also, the read out on the Electronic Air Conditioning is back, and looking at the electrical schematic in my FSM, I see that is tied to this also. Thanks again!!
