Anyone got any recommendations for a lightest weight street duty alternator? I do need something that will put out at least stock amperage because I am running an aftermarket ignition, two fuel pumps, an electric water pump, electric fan and a 4 solenoid nitrous system. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Powermaster makes one I believe, check Jegs or Summit
Im also looking for a mini alt with a 1 wire hookup for the 67 so it can be mounted down low and close to the W/P.
cs-110 from a 91 chev cavalier 4-banger is 11 lb, tiny, has 3 mounting lugs (pick any two)...its rated for 80 amp service...vette alt wiring will plug in....GM sells a higher output ''race'' version that is popular with nastycar racers....some of the rice burners have smaller ones
I was in the market til I found that the pieces I was researching weren't light enough to warrant the swap. I believe stock is somewhere between 10-15 lbs from what I found.
