Hell, you wouldn't have it any other way, crazy Canadians! I thought you had some semblance of a structure or covering now? Last winter was rather anti-climatic compared to the entertainment you provided for us the previous year.
Chuck: I notice you have a jack stand under the front of the car? What is that for?--Larry
I'm not 100% sure what you're referring to, but..............
I had to lift the front of the car high enough to disconnect the tranny from the motor as well as having enough clearence to drop the passenger side header down. Hence I have the front and rear of the car on jackstands at the jacking points below the rocker panels.
In the middle of the car, underneath I am using the factory jack screw/ scissor jack to keep the tranny up. It would drop if I didn't due to the motor being out as well as the "C" beam and drive shaft being disconnected.
Under the front of the car is just some added safety insurance. A piece of 2" x 10" is sitting on top of one of the front tires.
There is also a jackstand under the tailshaft area of the tranny.
