Default PCM connector pin removal tool??

Anyone know where I can get a pin removal tool for the connectors on the PCM in my '94?

Anyplace that carries the packard connectors should also carry the tools.

I use these:



Just remove the soft tip off one end and they will push the terminals right out once you get the hang of it...

Why didn't I think of that? I ground a very small screwdriver into a blade. Worked very well.

You should not need any tools to remove the pins. Just remove the colored outer shell of the connector, and open the grey shell, then with a pick you need to push in the white retainer tabs. Once the colored shell is removed and the retainer is removed the pins will just pop out.

You should not need any tools to remove the pins. Just remove the colored outer shell of the connector, and open the grey shell, then with a pick you need to push in the white retainer tabs. Once the colored shell is removed and the retainer is removed the pins will just pop out.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't know the connectors could be disassembled. I know the removal tool for the Packard weather pack connectors doesn't work - they have larger pins and are released from the front.
