went to Vette show'n'shine the otherday. i noticed that one c4 vert did not have the typical Vette wheels. theses still had a 'blade' type apperance, but in a hexagonal sorta shape. ive never seen these before, can anyone tell me some info on them? like what c4 models did they come on? where they a separate option? where they a standard wheel that got recalled too late like back in the 60's??
y'know that sorta stuff
ive done a quick net search, there are a few Vette pictures (i found two) with these wheels on them, so they must be a c4 type. i was stupid and didnt save the address.... ill try and find it again.
the wheels remind me of sawblades... but squared off... if you can make sence of that.
That's the base '88 wheels. They are 16". They are sorta rare, because the majority of '88s have the new for that year 17" wheels. The offset makes them only appropriate for '88 and later cars.

C4's did not exist back in the '60's. Recalled too late? ...too late for what?
Oops...looks like you answered your own question with those pix...

yeah.... i did the search after the question... i know for next time.:o
im sure they had some c4's in the 60's.... but being all the way down under our info gets turned a little upsidedown
from what ive read there was a c2 model that came out with a certain type of wheel, but then were recalled for some reason and a replacement wheel was then issued as the 'standard' wheel for the rest of that year.
