If you are going through all the trouble of installing a cam in a LTx C4 there are much better grinds that the Isky. It all depends on your goals and if you have to pass emissions.

Yep, got to pass emissions.. My goal is to add 75 - 100 rwhp with some nice low-end torq. But don't think that I'm one that is truly knowledgeable or experienced in this area, because I'm not....:o But that ain't never stopped me before...
got ya. I just wanted to give you a heads up as I have always heard Ca is tougher then the rest.
Have you considered the hot cam? Im very happy with it.
That is kinda what I do only its just the exhaust. Here in Va we have private garages that do the inspection for the state. I have a set of the factory exhaust cut to fit the headers, then I added cheap bullet cats where the resonator used to be. It passes the sniffer test with no problems. But I do have to switch every 2 years.

Yea, just a bunch of tree hugging hippies out here.

Yes, that is what I have and it passes emissions even though it is not listed as an emissions legal cam. The power is good and its a well proven combo. So why re-invent the wheel?

I read-up on it late last night, sounds good.... Still, I would like the cam to kick-in at a lower RPM. From what I can tell it really doesnt come on until 3k. was hoping to find one that kicked in around 2k. Of course I would change my rear-end from 3.07 to 3.73 since it's an auto.

Look into Comp Cams XFI series camshafts. Specifically the 260XFI or 268XFI grinds.
