87 6 speed install
Has anyone converted a 4+3 manual over to the 6 speed trans???? I have an 87 4+3 manual I would like to convert.Looking for info on what all is required.I have read that it's an easy swap,is this true?

CC did the most comprehensive write up(s) on the swap, so definitely check that out. He also has a VERY detailed chart listing parts by model year, clutch components, bell housing measurements, etc.I did the swap too, and it was no picnic. There are a few pitfalls. First thing to decide is what you plan on using for a flywheel (dual mass, your single mass, aluminum, etc) and hydraulic / clutch set up. Then go from there.
