Since they recommend the front to be different lengths due to lowering, what about the rear shocks?
I got to rear shocks for the 88-96 model and there has been no problems with the lowering. By the way you have one good looking vette and your was the reason I decided to go and do the lowering!!!

I'll try to snap some pics of afterward when I get a minuite...I've been too busy lately!!

Thanks again for all the help on my project...It turned out great! I did need the 2 washers in the front, and 8 out back. Thanks also, for the recommended setting, I am going to go dial thoes in and try it out.

you can see a few others here:

The guy I spoke to said use the 88-96 shocks for the rear regardless of lowering. Seems to be fine.

btw...Quite a project you have/had going. I'm sure you'll love the results!

Is your C4 a street car? If so, how did you get it down to 2700 lbs.? My 86 is 3050 and I thought that was light.

The 96 rear spring is the softest one. Try that one.

I wouldn't suggest going less than #400 on the front and less than #250 on the rears...

Hope this helps, as others posted, you'll love them. I've had mime on for over 50,000 miles and no issues what so ever.

Thats some good looking rides there Mo. It looks like with the coil-overs you were able to eliminate the fiberglass leaf spring both front and rear. Is this correct?

Thank you!

Correct...

No fiberglass springs, the spring ratings are for the coil over springs, remember the front shocks are like 70 degree angles, so with a 400 if i recall it makes the actual spring rate somewhere around 325 to 350.

The rear shocks I went a tad longer as with "spirited" driving over rail road tracks I could feel the rear wheels leaving the ground. I do also agree with the prior posts the 6 and 4 settings are about what I'm at as well.

It was the best money I have spent, though many may be quick to disagree. I have to say the best ride was 400 / 250 if you go real low you will keep hitting the rear snubber. I'm at 27 in the front to the top of the fender well and 28 on the rear with a full tank of fuel . It does change the rear height almost a full inch between full and empty.

Again if anyone has any question feel free to email or PM me...

regards,

MO

Mo, Great set up. Where did you buy the parts? I am so looking into coil overs, but it may take some persuading, if you know what I mean.

Just picked up the thread. I installed QA-1 TC-1959P front adjustables on my lowered 93. Standard QA-1's had no travel.

I've seen them using different shocks, none that I've seen were. You need to talk to them direct.
