Isolating/eliminating engine vibrations
Just wondering what is he best way to isolate or eliminate engine/exhaust related vibrations. I'm not concerned about suspension or road feel (don't mind that at all), this just concerns those vibrations traceable/correlating to engine rpm. I have a supercharged 86 with LT headers and slp muff's (hollowed cat). Would changing engine and trans. mounts smooth some of these out?

I think it's sort of a process of elimination. One thing you can do to see if its any of the accesories is to remove the accesory belt from the motor and go for a spin. Sometimes an A/C compressor or a power steering pump out of round can cause engine vibes. I know in my past experience it was the A/C.

I'll try that. I know my AC compressor does vibrate when I have it turned on. The car is much smoother when the compressor is off, but I still get some noticeable vibration inside. It probably did it before I performed the mods, I just can't remember/wasn't paying attention at that point.
Curious if worn mounts would yield this kind of symptom.
