Blackout
I eat my lunch quickly …. My idea was to go to ride my vette. It wasn't used since a month ….
I take the booster ( I'have no illusion about charging state of my batterie after a month )
I go down to the garage, open the vette…. Ouhhhh the light is low ….. I open the hood
Connect the booster….ON….. the light grow up in the car
I turn the key… the engine run perfectly…. Gorgeous
I disconnect the booster and at this time….. the hood come down on my head….. Aïiiiiiie
I haven't locked it so with the vibration it come down ……I saw a lot of birds and stars LOL
And now there is something growing up at the top of my head.
After that I come back in the car
I start to go ahead and after 5 meters the engine stop…… no lights…nothing work…black out
My first idea was that the battery was out of order so I connect the booster again….
But still no light…. Nothing apen
So I go to look and at the fuse (in the passager compartement) every thing is ok
I control the screw of the battery and the cables…. OK
Ohhhhhh it's time to go back to work …. I push the car in it's garage…. Really hard to push a 1500kgs car in small hill and a small curve
So all this small story to have your opinion on this ?
Thanks Gilles
Still sorry for my English
Don't worry about your English, it's better than most I see here and they were born here.

100 percent correct. When the battery is charged (you may want to remove it from the car) start the car and check to see if the alternator is charging. Could be it is not working correctly. A Corvette should be able to sit for a month and then start up with no problems if everything is working property. Also, a battery tender is a good idea if you don't drive the car allot.
Get that Vette running and write the 'Rest of THe Story',
Sounds like a bad battery or a bad battery connector or cable.
Check the alternator too since, once it was running the alternator 'should' have generated enough current/voltage to keep the engine running.
Oh, your English is fine and I'm looking forward to the rest of this fine account of you enjoying your Vette.
Good luck with it.
