Have not had this problem myself yet. Vehicle speed sensor in transmission might be dirty and need to be cleaned out. Should have 5 volts on pin A of the sensor, pin B is ground. PCM could cause the problem or connection to CCM or CCM.

Is there anything not working like the cruse, speedometer or do you just have the DTC.

Which module did you find this code in? 1,4, or 9?

Thanks for the responses. Everything is working just found the trouble code. Second, I am a rookie to the trouble codes, used the trick to short out pin #4 and 12, not sure what module that would be. Codes where preceeded by H. I was told to clear the codes and see if they re-appear, what do you think?

I believe code 72 would be in module 4 which relates to the PCM which where the speed sensor connects to. H means it is an historic code and not a current code which can also relate to number of ignition cycles. Sometimes codes pop up but without an time line data is less meaningful. Check again see if anything else pops up. If you get a C12 that is normal which means no codes in module 1 relating to the CCM.
