After I finished the superram install and got the car running, I realized the tach was not working. It lights up and flashes some numbers while starting, but once the car is running it goes to zero and stays there.
Any ideas?
BTW, car is an 88, just did heads cam and intake swap, probably left something unplugged, just don't know where too look. Thanks for any help.
On the side of the distributor cap is a bump out where there are two push on spade lug connectors. One is 12 volts (I think the wire is red) for the distributor. The other one should be a white wire for the Tach.
Output from distributor cap tach signal > white wire from tach filter> to dash cluster.
The tach filter itself is held on by one of the bellhousing to engine bolts so the wire may have dropped down behind the engine.
