How do I get the hat in?
My 92 auto leaks from the connection between the transmission dipstick tube and the body of the tranny. There is a bolt buried at the back top of the block - which is not easily accessible. Any tricks to get to it? Can I use a tube cutter and cut the tube above the fluild level and use a snug section of hose to reseal it? Or???? https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ies/bigear.gif

P.S. don't cut the tube as it won't work.
It sounds as though you just need to replace the O-ring on the end of the dipstick tube.
