brake pad selection
I am doing the C5 brake upgrade on my '93, what are some good pads?
this is a daily driver and will never see tack time. I can get the factory ZO6 pads for $114.00 or the parts house pads $33.00 for mid grade pads and $66.00 for there best pads. is there a big difference in theese pads? I also would like the pad that creates the least brake dust. any opinions? also this car will see 5K miles a year at the most.

Don't get the cheap pads, I did once because I needed them real bad. Anytime I thought of the word brakes, dust would appear on my wheels.

While every pad will produce a certain amount of dust, the dust that ceramics produce seem to be far less visible than the others....but ceramics aren't cheap.
If you only drive 5K miles a year, then dust shouldn't be an issue and just get whatever your wallet allows.
