Installing studs for the 4 inner bolts and slotting the rest of the bolts helps a great deal. I think it took be about an hour to put it on the third time. That's not a big deal.

Agent 86 has a good write-up. You want to drill the studs, use castle nuts and wire them.

When I had my SuperRam, I drilled out the threads on the plenum and installed button head allen bolts. Worked great and for me simplified the installation.

From inside the plenum wasn't some of the bolts too close to the walls?

Most of the bolts are too close to the wall. I believe you would have to fill those holes and drill new ones farther inboard. Not really worth it to me.
