Go to a couple of locksmiths and tell them you want to buy a VATS code intarigator. They're about $100. (I found this out AFTER having them come out several times on cars I was doing and charging me $100 a pop.) If they won't sell you one, PM me and I'll see if I can get you one. They are perfectly legal.

The vats code on a 90 is in the CCM body control module not the ECM

and Im not spending the money to burn a new chip to bypass it, Its cheaper to pay the dealer than burn a new chip for my car.

anyway im going to handle it the cheapest way I can I have the key code, Now I need to get a blank cut and figure out the vats resistance through the CCM
then order 2 of thos nice $4 keys on the webiste I found from one of the other threads!

I love it dealer wants $35 for a regular key I didnt even ask there price on the vats key total BS
I said I could be wrong about the ECM and it sounds like I was.
Didn't know it was in the CCM in a 90 but as far as cost goes I disagree.
The chip would be cheaper than a locksmith or the dealer if you go to the right person for it.
Doesn't matter though as it wouldn't work for you anyway.

Good luck with your car.

The reason I wouldnt get a new chip is becuase I have a custom on already for the car and it is a DRM chip specific for the car and I dont want to deal with that hassle so a locksmith would be cheaper for me.

But guess what the keys were found and I got them back today so I can go recover my car from the rifle range.

Trust me the ratio of good looking females in the marine corps is about 5 to 20,000 so the chances are not good

The keys were turned into the range headquarters building I had checked earlier in the week and they hadnt had any turned in but yesterday I tried one more time to see if they had been turned in, and they had been so I got them and the finder is a mystery?
