I have a '90 C-4 and am having a problem with the Selective Ride Control. The "Service Ride Control" light comes on immediately on the dash and never goes out. Oddly, the only diagnostic code I get is 12 (start of diagnostics). No other codes.
In past years I've had a couple problems with the small gear at the top of the shocks breaking apart and, after retrieving the error code, have been able to fix them with no problem.
However, this time around I get no error code beyond the 12. Anyone have any ideas where to start looking for a problem? Thanks.
You did jump the wires to make the Service Ride Control blink? I have that option but can't remember the exact ones to jump at the moment to make the SRC go thru a diagnostic. I think you jump wires A and C. If your SRC light is on then there's 8 possibilites. 4 shocks or 4 actuators.
Thank you sir! Apparently I was a little too impatient and wasn't waiting for three flashes of the 12. I now see I'm actually getting a code 31. I know what to do with that issue.
