The clear coat on my Folger wheels has come looses in some areas, and I want them to look 100% again!
How do i strip the clear coat off, and get them mirror like again?
I would also like to change out all the bolts in the wheels. Anyone know if i can do this my myself?
I have got the tourqe spec form the manufacture, and I thought that as long as I change the bolts one by one, and dont take the wheel apart it is ok, any thought?

Over here at PEP Boys auto parts stores we can buy "Aircraft Parts Cleaner and Striper" and follow up with "Never-Dull" then re-spray with clear. Over there maby some sort of "Herring Sauce"
Actually, I believe it's Akvavit
I am just starting my wheel project and picked up the before mentioned aircraft coating remover from my local jobber. I'm starting today, we'll soon see how good this stripper is.
I did a google for ugly stripper picture just for fun.
Lars--be carefull with the strippers, they also eat rubber such as tires,
valve stems, brake lines. I took my tires off the rims when I did mine and also went back with new valve stems. Yours are really looking good!
my stock rims are the only thing that look bad on my car. i thought about buying new lighter rims but wanna stay original. if i didnt wanna takle this project myself how much am i lookin at spending to get them redone?
