Tachfilter problem??
I think I may be having a problem with my tachfilter. At engine speeds over 3000RPM the tach starts displaying random engine speeds, bouncing between 500 and 1500RPMs.
Problem is, these filters are out of production. Does anybody know where to get one of these ? Has anyone simply bypassed the filter and run ok without one?

Sounds ilke you installed an MSD box and you need to bypass the filter. i posted instructions for a Forum member not too long ago on where it is, etc.

I installed a stock (new) distributor with Accel ignition components. Can't say if it worked before that because the first thing I did was replace the engine when I bought the car. Just went through the break-in period and noticed the tach doesn't read correctly over 3000RPM.

Actually the instructions were for 92-96, but it may be the same for <=91 too but I am not sure. I just posted it in the last day or two.
