Took the car for the first ride of the year today. When the temp started to climb I turned the AC on to trigger the cooling fan but it did not come on... It climbed to about 230 before I could get out of traffic and drive at hiway speeds. When I got home I checked the fan by grounding the common ground and the fan came on. checked the fuse at the fuse panel; it was good. What does this tell me? ECM or what. And what should I check next? Thanks for the input. Does the 94 monitor the outside air temperature and could this be why the fan did not come on when I turned on the AC? I know turning on the AC triggers the fan to come on.

If you have a 94 you have 2 fans. The primary should come on about 195 or so.The pass side fan should come on when you turn the A/C on.
I would check the relays the connection could be rusty.
Check the fuss on the pass side where the washer bottle is .
