I have bought a lowering kit that consists of two bolts and bushings.
My questions are has any body done this, is it hard and would anybody be willing to help who lives in the orlando area.
I think you are talking about the rear?
You just need a floor jack.Jack up one side just enough to unload the leaf spring,so you can remove the coter pin and unscrew the nut.
Remove the bolt and install bushings, new bolt and do the same to the other side.I think you should draw a picture of the bushings or take a picture to make sure you get everything back in the right place.
Keep the wheels on the ground and the parking brake on so the car does not move when you jack up the spring.
Another way is to jack the car from it's jack point, Take the rear wheel off and if you have something to sit on, you hardly even have to lean forward to change the bolt. Take another jack under the spring and jack it up just enough to take the weight off the washer/nut, unscrew the nut, remove and replace bolt w/ the new one. (wheel off makes it easier to put it back in from the top)
To do the job will probably take longer to jack and take the wheel off than to replace the bolt. Very simple. Make sure you get everything back in the right spots. Good luck.
The kit has two bolts for the rear and the bushings are for the front. Thanks for the input on the back. Has any one done the front that could give me a few pointers.
