Default Ostrich Experiences

I'm going to computer tune a 1991 Corvette this week (previously only worked on f-bodies) with my Moates Ostrich. How do you hook up the Ostrich with the underhood computer? The ribbon cable does not look long enough to mount in a safe place while driving. Any tips from the experts out there?

I use the romulator on my 91. It has about an 8-10" ribbon cable. With the computer mounted upside down in the carrier. Leave the access plate off, hook up the emulator. Tuck the unit down by the master cylinder and secure it with big tie wrap.
