need advice for my future engine

Default need advice for my future engine

ok so i have a stock 84 and my plan as of now is to buy a ls1 used... to go in it. anyone know what problems that might show up in this swap ? or if i should be looking at a different motor ? also i want to upgrade my brakes to the best i can should i just get the best brakes i can for my c4 or should i do a upgrade to c5 brakes?

Definatly do a search. There are a few folks here on the forum who have done it sucessfully and a few who are still in the thick of it. Things like the oil pan, motor mounts, speedo sensor/tranny/tranny mounting system/c-beam mount fabrication and exhaust manifolds/headers will be of great interest to you. That is on top of the normal computer/wiring harness install you will run into.

for some reason it looks to be a huge pain and im not sure its gunna be worth it when i factor in time and money ... and the fact my cars a daily driver i cant have it down for a week doing this so i guess i may just start looking at 92s and newer... maybe
