Default Em longtubes ?

Just bought a set of Em longtubes from a forum member for my 92 lt1 what will i need to install these, and will i need 2 o2 sims and where to i get them and would it be possible to bolt up stock exhaust for now if a shop would be able to make exstensions? thanks mike

You won't need o2 sims. You need to keep the front two sensors for fuel management. I don't think your 92 LT1 came with a third sensor that was located at the outlet of the passenger side converter. They didn't come around until 1994 and 1995, then in 1996 cars they had two rear sensors. Even if you had that third sensor it can be eliminated without any consequences.

Contact EM and ask about their connections from the header to the catback. They have high flow cats and extentions that supposed to bolt right on. Just a little pricey, though.

You'll need to shorten and narrow the front exhaust tubes on the stock cat-back, to run the headers.

Living in colder climate, you might have to go to a 3 wire heated O2 sensor to keep the car from going into open loop at idle. My car ran alot better when I went from the 1 wire to the 3 wire. Easy update.
